In honor of Leah Jean-Lacher Reay

Leah Loved and Lived Large

Leah was full of adventure. Everyone in her life knew how much they were cherished; she was a bright light for so many. We hope our movement inspires you to make the most of every minute while spreading compassion to everyone.

Her favorite color was rainbow, which matched her sparkly personality. Leah knew no stranger and was the first to offer assistance. She was a kind soul who freely shared love and joy.

On January 22, 2017, Leah (age 26) was hit and killed by a drunk and drugged 17-year-old driver who ran a red light at 84 mph.

Leah’s family is dedicated to bringing awareness to the senseless loss of life because of another person’s bad choices.

In Leah’s memory, the foundation was established to award education scholarships to future nurses through the 501(c)(3) foundation, Leah’s Legacy, Tax ID: 83-4231569.

Advocating for responsible driving is a primary focus of our community outreach efforts. We partner with M.A.D.D., One Legacy, and the American Red Cross to support awareness, fundraising, and expert speaking engagements.

Why we exist

100% of funds raised by the foundation are donated to junior and Senior nursing student scholarships.

The organization is run solely by volunteers, and very few administrative expenses are incurred yearly.
